In Koyilandy, a biker was seriously injured after a tree branch fell on him during the storm. High-velocity winds also caused large-scale losses to farmlands, with around 2,000 banana plants destroyed in Kavilumpara.

Similar weather conditions were reported in Kannur district. In Chittariparambu, the roof of a shop was blown off, while in Koothuparamba, a coconut tree fell on three houses, causing further damage.

Authorities are assessing the extent of losses as unseasonal rains continue to impact parts of the region.
